Sorachi Hideaki's Gintama is set to end in the 42nd issue of this year's Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be released on Sept. 15. Having begun serialization in 2004, the popular manga only has 5 more chapters to go.

Set in an alternate Edo period where aliens have invaded the earth. Gintama follows the adventures of samurai Sakata Gintoki and his friends Shinpachi and Kagura as they struggle to pay the rent. With over 55 million copies in print, the manga has also been adapted into a successful TV anime and two anime movies, as well as two live action movies and a live action webdrama.
