Manga artist Mashima Hiro has announced not only a Fairy Tail sequel, but also another spin-off in the works and a whole new original work!
For the new Fairy Tail works, Mashima did not reveal any publishing or plot details. However, he announced that his new manga would begin serialization in the 30th issue of Shonen Magazine, which will go on sale Jun. 27.

Having serialized continuously for 11 years, the manga's imminent ending was first revealed in May 2017 with the final anime season also announced soon after. His newest manga announcements also included the fall 2018 broadcast of the last season.
